BEECH CONE SHELL – CARVED DOLPHINS

Cone shells look very similar to one another. They come in a variety of shapes, sizes, weights, and colors. The periostracum can also vary in thickness or feel. These animals (the shells without the animals are harmless) are carnivorous and dangerous to humans. They bite and poison their prey much like snakes.
