Lister’s Conch / Strombus listeri

Strombus listeri T. Gray

This shell is colored white with brown stripes that zig and zag across the surface. The body whorl is smoth and curved, and the spire whorls have sturdy vertical ribs which are crossed by smaller spiral riblets. The apertural lip stretches out with a flourish and resembles a loose bat’s wing.
